House of Curves
This house was designed by Tate Studio Architects’ Mark Tate, Lisa’s husband, and it won a Gold Nugget merit award. The owners are diehard Michigan fans…hence the blue and maze coloring. The house was featured in Phoenix Homes and Gardens, in an issue all about Blue. The house floors are polished concrete floors that have had the top 1/4″ ground off so you see smooth aggregate rocks on the floor. The house has lots of custom glass made by a local artist. Even the stair treads are blue glass!
