Desert Dwelling

An award winning house way, way, way in the back of Desert Mountain, this 2800 sq. ft. livable house won a Gold Nugget Merit Award in 2015.  The house is built with materials meant to blend in with the desert.  The polished concrete floors are a color that blends so well with the native soil that we could barely tell where the footings were poured early in construction.  Exterior materials, such as rusted metal and exposed, sandblasted block, run in through the house and help blend the inside with the outside.  It’s wonderful to sit on this pool patio and listen to the piece and quiet found in the mountain range.
